The coin is struck on a piece of aluminum feeder finger, which broke away from the larger feeder finger. Cents struck on aluminum feeder fingers are rare, and we are only aware of 10 examples existing including this one.

Although the holder says double-struck, there are 4 strikes plainly visible on the coin, with 3 being on the primary strike, and then one further off-center. PCGS MS-64 with lustrous and attractive surfaces. The coin doesn't have the gray surfaces that so many do, and so has above average eye-appeal.
