PCGS 1c 1957 Lincoln cent struck on a Honduras 1 centavo planchet. The wrong planchet error occurred when a Honduras 1 centavo was fed into a press which was striking 1957 wheat cents and was struck, resulting in a coin with the design of a cent but the planchet of a 1 centavo. Was producing these coins for Honduras, which is why this was able to occur. This combination is also known on 1956 wheat cents. A rare error type, and very few are known. At Sullivan Numismatics we specialize exclusively in major mint errors, and maintain an inventory of well over 1000 error coins. We are members of CONECA, ANA, FUN and are both PCGS and NGC authorized dealers.
